Recipe: Roast Turkey
Ingredients
- One 12-14 Brined Turkey
- One onion chipped into 1 inch dice
- 2 carrots – cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 celery stalks- cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 stalks of fresh rosemary
- 1/2 organic lemon
- One 12-14 Brined Turkey
- One onion chipped into 1 inch dice
- 2 carrots – cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 celery stalks- cut into 1 inch pieces
- 2 stalks of fresh rosemary
- 1/2 organic lemon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Scatter the onion, carrots, and celery inside a roasting pan.
- Insert the rosemary and lemon inside the turkey cavity.
- Place the turkey on top of the vegetables in the roasting pan.
- Bake the turkey for 15 minutes then turn the oven to 325 degrees.
- Roast for 3 hours, then check the temperature. If the turkey starts to brown too quickly, tent the turkey with foil.
- The turkey is done when the temperature is 165 degrees.
- Once you have the turkey roasted completely, remove it to a serving platter and continue on to make gravy.
