Stomach aches, Bloating after every meal, and so many downstream complications that have resolved after years enjoying a gluten free diet.
I'm grateful, so very grateful that my family and myself have a better quality of life since we went gluten free.
No more wild changes in mood when they get dosed with gluten, now we understand that the gluten is making the difference and take precautions when eating out.
No more concerns about bones breaking from a minor fall, we all absorb our calcium and have bone density appropriate to our ages.
But,
There is always a but.
But they are gluten free kids, and one needs to be dairy free too.
So I get busy making the foods they miss.
'Cause being the odd person out is hard, and unnecessary.
When the movie nights are happening, or a homework session runs into the late afternoon hours, the snacks come out.
Onion Soup Dip is one of those things that tends to be mixed up; a quick, creamy hit of sour cream and soup mix. For my girls, it's poison.
Typical soup mix has some ingredients I always avoid, like MSG, hydrolyzed soy, soy oil, corn syrup.
Gluten Free, Vegan Onion Dip-perfect for the party
More importantly they have this CYA statement.
"made in a facility that also processes milk, eggs, soy, wheat, sesame and sulfites."
So I created this mix, based on my Vegan Sour Cream.
